The room was a really good size with ensuite (bath with shower), the bed was very big. Overall a very comfortable and clean hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast had a good selection of continental foods such as cheese, meats, bread, and croissants, cereals. The scrambled egg was delicious! Secure car parking and a secure bicycle store are available at an additional charge per day. Location was perfect for the town at about 10-15 minute walk.

A busy and comfortable hotel with welcoming staff. Across the street from the mainline train station it is an excellent stopover. Our bicycles were stored in a secure covered enclosure behind the hotel, which is also close to the Velo Francette long distance cycle route between La Rochelle and Caen. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with a wide selection on offer including a hot choice. Stayed at the hotel many times and would have no hesitation in doing so again.

Stayed in the hotel a number of times and always welcomed by its friendly staff. Opposite the train station and close to the Loire long-distance cycle routes the hotel has secure covered storage for bicycles. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide section of food including a hot choice. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk away from the centre of Saumur and recommended for a stay in Saumur.

We were assigned a room on the top floor at the front of the hotel with an amazing view looking over the town and castle and we were pleased to find free and easy on-street parking available on the road outside the hotel. The room was clean and staff were pleasant and friendly. It was an easy 10 min walk into the town centre which was mostly over the two bridges crossing the river with superb views of the river Loire. The location was quieter than staying in the centre with a local rather than touristy vibe which we liked. The buffet-style breakfast had a good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, eggs, cold meats and cheeses along with croissants, bread and cakes and although at times the breakfast room was busy it was never overcrowded.

The staff were very accomodating and able to answer all of our questions about local attractions, restaurants, grocery, etc. Easy walk to city center and Chateau. Our room was large and very comfortable, the AC worked well, and the room/bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was good. Secure and covered bicycle parking was available inside the hotel's gated car park. Plain and very clean hotel w/o fancy decorations, etc...exactly what we look for in a comfortable place to sleep.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis. I fully recommend this hotel which is in a great location for Saumur and also for taking the train. Our room was spacious, clean, bright, well ventilated and silent. Perfect for a great nights' sleep. We also enjoyed a lovely healty breakfast. The staff were friendly and heloful.

We chose the hotel entirely because of location, we had a very early train. Is a walk into town, but fine. The room was a good size, enormous bed, good bedding. Surprisingly good breakfast, which starts very early. Good and secure bike storage. Real stars are receptionists, especially Noemi. Incredibly calm and helpful.

Nice clean room with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning and located right across from the SNCF station which is very convenient. The day I was there it was 34 degrees so I was grateful for the air conditioning! The breakfast was good, lots of options with cereals, yogurt, juices, cheese/meats, hard boiled eggs, pastries and an automatic coffee machine. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the center of Saumur but its a beautiful walk across the two strands of Loire River. There isn't much around the hotel that I saw for restaurants, but its worth the walk into town where you have many wonderful options.

Breakfast was excellent, nice variety, cereals, breads, cheese board, meat platter, yoghurt, grapefruit and orange segments, seed granola, English speaking staff pleasant and happy to assist great location for travellers, luggage storage, 20 minutes walk to main town the view on the evening walk as well as the daytime is worth it

Comfy beds, big rooms, big bathroom, towels provided. Joint room possibility if you are with family. Continental breakfast, tasty. Helpful and friendly staff. Parking secure if booking in advance for little extra fee, otherwise in the streets. Located near Saumur castle. Calm neighbourhood, air conditioner in the room.
